About Pilotta.io

Pilotta.io is Cypriot pilotta you can play online, free to play today, in your browser. It is made in Limassol and run from Cyprus, and it opened to the public on 30 September 2026.

What Pilotta.io is

Pilotta.io is an online version of Cypriot pilotta, the four-player partnership card game played with a 32-card deck across Cyprus. You play it in the browser on a phone or a computer, with nothing to download. You can play a whole match against the computer, with a computer partner and two computer opponents; online with friends, at a table of your own; or with other players through quick match.

The game, its rules pages and the scorekeeper are in Greek, English and French. The Greek is written the way it is spoken in Cyprus, not the way it is printed in Athens.

Where it comes from

Pilotta.io is a small independent project from Limassol. It is made for phones first: the table, the cards and the buttons are laid out for a phone screen, and the same game opens on a computer. The website is built by Sitesational. Pilotta.io is not a betting company, and no betting company owns it.

Why the Cypriot rules

Games of the same family are played elsewhere, with other rules, and the Cypriot game differs from them in ways a Cypriot player notices at once. Play goes counter-clockwise. Cutting is mandatory, even when your partner is winning the trick. Once a trump is on the trick you must play a higher one if you can, and a trump all the same if you can't. The auction starts at 80 and rises in tens. Pilotta.io plays that game and no other, with no simplified rules.

How the rules are checked

Every rule the game enforces has been checked, one by one, against Cypriot pilotta as it is played. Where a case is left open, we settle it for the Cypriot game and keep a record of the decision.

The game itself keeps the rules. It will not let anyone, person or computer, play a card the rules forbid, and it counts each round's points, declarations and the Rule of 6 for you. The rules pages describe what the game itself does. If you find a page and the game disagreeing, or a rule you play differently at your own table, write to us and we will look into it.

What Pilotta.io is not

There is no gambling here and no prize of any kind. The coins in the game are counters; they cannot be bought and they are worth nothing outside the game.
